So I’m thinking about being a hobo for halloween. One, because my costume is last minute and it’s easy. And two… because hobos are awesome. What would america be without hobos? We’d all be driving around without being guilted into handing up our extra change. Then what would America be? Lost and alone, that’s what. And definitely hoboless.

The Team Fortress 2 character intro videos →
The new TF2 season started a couple weeks ago. And to clarify, yes, I do follow an actual season… in a video game. And to possibly defend myself, let me say that I see it just like watching football or basketball or any other sport. Except that none of the people I watch do it for anything but loving the game they play. Because it definitely isn’t for the money. And it’s not just...

Rest
As I’m writing this, I should mention all is not well in my life. I’m in serious trouble at my job, in the middle of a puzzling relationship that was really bothering me and worrying me all the time… and yet I know my peace does not rely on my outward circumstances. In Matthew 11, Jesus invites all who are weary to come find rest. And rest doesn’t mean the absence of...

Days like this
It’s days like this that I’m reminded just how small I really am, and just how big God is. That there is no need to panic. No need to be scared or worry. God is in control. There is peace for those who let Christ rule in their hearts and minds. I’m reminded of God’s infinite grace when today, just like every other day, he has forgiven me out of his infinite mercy. Once...

Summer list
A list of some things I want to do this summer. Reconnect with so many friends I’ve fallen out of contact with. Major expansion to Itunes library. Compile another list… of books to read. Journal daily. Visit the LA Dream Center. Have a very real desire to spend much more time in the Secret Place reading the Word and praying/talking to God frequently throughout my day. Figure...

From a wounded weary soul
I sit here, reflecting on the past year seeing just how far I’ve come and how different life is just in one year… I’ve made a lot of mistakes, held on to far too many old problems, left far too many things unfinished, undone and given myself many regrets. I’ve come from everything in my relationship with my parents from fuck you, I’m leaving… to utter humility,...

Sleeping at last →
Check this band out. I have two albums of theirs, “Keep No Score” and “Storyboards”. They make some great music and have professional symphony on almost all their tracks, which combined with a very experience driven indie sound creates sweet, sweet music. I would recommend checking out their “Keep No Score” album. I haven’t given the second album enough...

Future of Forestry →
This is a band I’ve been listening to a ton lately. I really like their music. It’s a really nice indie sound that doesn’t turn off the listener by lack of production and quality. Their three albums are Twilight, and the two Future of Forestry Volumes. I think they might’ve taken a hint from Thrice there. Anyways I recommend Travel Vol. 2. I’m pretty sure every song...

Solano Design →
For those of you who don’t know, I actually own a small local web design business. If you know anyone, especially an entity like a local small business, send them my way. I will be taking new projects starting in June. Look at the portfolio to get an idea of what my designs look like or take a look at the services page to see what I can offer.

Dream
So, for the first time in a long time… I got to sleep in this morning. And I dreamt many things. In this dream I just randomly decided to pull out of my guitar on the sidewalk and start playing some random stuff. Before I woke up, two people had passed by and given me money, including one black gentlemen who took one look at me and declared, “now that ain’t right!” I think...

Welcome!
This is (obviously) my blog! Here I will simply share current goings on in my life as well as my thoughts and musings on different happenings in the world. Check back for updates. I’ll post any web design projects I’m working on, perhaps even some songwriting or any cool events that the world needs to know about.
